Default Hello People

Hi, I'm Lori Vrba. I shoot film exclusively and just finished construction on my first home darkroom 5 months ago. I've been working professionally for about 5 years...but always had a pro lab do my client work while I tinkered with my "own stuff" in community darkrooms.

Setting up my own darkroom has opened my eyes to how much I have to learn. APUG is a great resource.

Professionally I shoot children and families. I think my greatest accomplishment photographically is finally shooting with my own consistent style. My biggest challenge is to not go stale...to keep it fun for myself and still make the clients happy.

anyway...you can see my work at lorivrba.com
wow...it feels good to finally speak up!

Welcome Lori!

You have some very fine portraits there on your site... It's also a very well thought out website design (e.g. the hidden secured clients section) and a joy to explore.

Marco

Thanks Marco. I used a blu domain template...but being techno challenged...it took me an entire summer to complete it.

I appreciate you taking the time to peek.

I know the amount of time it takes to setup a website yourself, and to maintain and regularily update it, even when starting out with some sort of template...

I build my website also myself using a probably more rudimentary, yet flexible, approach using JAlbum, Dreamweaver and a custom designed JAlbum template (called skin). Has caused me some headaches, but in the end it was worth it, although it doesn't function as slick as yours in some respects.

Nice work but the screen rez cut the picture menu on the right side and I couldn't figure a way back to the opening menu. 15" monitors stink but it's what I got.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

And to Marco...my DH initially tried to put a website together for me with Dreamweaver. He finally waved the white flag. I've been happy with Blu Domain...and I do try to keep it fresh.
