    Good to find others...

    who are still working in film,, I shoot entirely in film and with the cutbacks in film/poloroid production it becomes more and more difficult everyday.

    at least there are others to discuss and complain about the digital realm with.

    Welcome, Devin!!

    This is a great place to discuss film, so we like to keep digital conversations to a minimum even if it's a complaint. It just keeps us on topic.

    Enjoy your time here!!

    come on in

    growing up I remember on the CBC a kids TV show , the Friendly Giant.

    Well for me this is the equivalent emotional place. There are always friends to talk to, and who will answer qustions you may have. Always willing to help others.

    There is always a 'chair open for you, just your size, near the fire' as we gather to discuss film related isues.

    Wecome aboard
    my real name, imagine that.

    "Are you all seated comfortably? Then let's begin."

    Good morning, Devin, and welcome to the group;

    Yes, this is a comfortable and relaxing place where the conversation is easy, and the technical questions receive coherent responses. Then there is the point that we all know that we are at the mercy of the manufacturers of the product we feed our equipment, and we might be the last stalwarts of a dying breed. Still, I feel more comfortable in this group, and there just is something to the image you get from film, in comparison to what comes from a purely digital process.
    Enjoy;

    Ralph Javins, Latte Land, Washington

    When they ask you; "How many Mega Pixels you got in your camera?"
    just tell them; "I use activated silver bromide crystals tor my image storage media."
