    Hello from Amsterdam (NL)

    Hey guys,

My name is Jaimie Peeters and I'm a 34 year old analog newbie. Not that I'm so well experienced in digital though, I've been shooting on and off for 2 years now trying to grow into the profession of an editorial fashion photographer.

When I noticed that I was post editing my images in a way that it would look more like analog photography, I decided to expand my working tools with some analog cameras. So now I am the proud owner of a Mamiya M645 E with extra side grip and a 80mm F2.8 lens.

Together with my Canon 1Dmk2 - 50mm F1.2 I can now experiment more and hopefully grow more into a unique style of photography to distinguish myself at some point with the current order of professionals.

I am here to learn and to receive advise and criticism, so hopefully you'll share your thoughts and knowledge with little old me

    Cheers

Hello Jaimie and welcome to APUG! I hope you enjoy your Mamiya M645. I have an RB67 which I like a whole lot.

Welcome to our little group, Jaimie. Don't worry, film is the new non-retro means of retro photography of days ago-go. (Nostalgia, it ain't what it used to be.)
    Thank you

    Welkom door een oosterbuur.

But what are NIK filters, Jamie? (At your website you refer to them being used.)

    Welcome from a former Amsterdammer.

As a foreigner there, I spoke more Dutch when carrying an old camera than on any other occasions!
