I hope your freind is wrong. Last winter was very cold and I don't find low tempertures all that photogenic.

Up until a few days ago we were suffering through a very pleasent 'Indian Summer.' Last thursday evening it got cold and has stayed in the 60's since. Also last Thursday, my wife decided to sleep in the spare bedroom with the windows open. She has been crippled with back pains ever since.

I hope so too. My recent trip to Australia, where I visited Falls Creek and found that 45F was too cold for me, has shown me how unprepared I am for cold weather. I guess that comes from living in Hawaii, almost 6 years now.

Hope you wife gets to feeling better. Nothing worse than back pains.

I'm in WI!! You know... they predict a record cold winter EVERY year, here! Geez, if they didn't, there would not be a lot to talk about (especially with the Packers having some sort of out-of-body experiences) haha

I'll just be happy if we get some snow! Nothing like snow for a little B&W photography! haha

Welcome from one other cold place where we take pride in how cold it gets. I am in Minneapolis, but Embarass, MN usually has one of the records for cold for the continental US each year. Perhaps we can exchange photos of icicles this winter.

I don't know about a cold winter, but our summer was unusually cool. September was beautiful. Last weekend my wife and I went up to N Michigan, and the weather on Friday was leaden gray and rainy, Saturday 40 mph winds, and of course, beautifully sunny and calm on Sunday when we left...It wasn't one of my more photographically productive weekends!
