    Communist monument ruins - wow!

Check this out. What a strange haunting place. Be sure to click through to see the full series of photographs with text. This is pretty wild.

Very cool indeed, I think all the snow only added to the feel of desolation and make the photos stronger in my mind.

Filled with snow it almost looked like something out of Empire Strikes Back.

Interestingly, it bears a similarity to the Olympic Stadium in my city, a monument to idiocy and corruption rather than communism, but still. It's of a similar vintage too.

When I was a child I remember being facinated by the ancient wonders of the world,,,, I wonder if this could be one of the forgotten wonders of the world. I think a great series could be formulated by the right photographer.

Michael what do you think? any more gems like this.

I am aware of the photo explorers, a friend of mine is in management of the underground tunnels here in Toronto for the public utilities and he has a body of work that is very interesting, as well as the groups breaking into old castles and buildings, Detroit being a good example, but this one is very unique... I guess since its oversees and new to me I find it really amazing.
The first time I saw real good images of Angor Wat I was spell bound.. they were very large platinums by Kenro Izo back in the early 90's.
