I understand where you're coming from Ralph. For me his work is inspiring in that it's not bound to photographic convention. I've read of photographers saying they wish they could get back to the mentality they had when they first picked up a camera, purely instinctive rather than a rigid concern with control. I see Moore's work as a pure response to seeing, but with the advantage of a mature aesthetic sensibility - as opposed to the purely subjective eye an amateur has.
