I have just been informed that Cole Weston, the sole remaining son of Edward Weston passed on Sunday evening. These are times of loss for us in the area of large format photography. Some of our guiding beacons have been extinguished. May Cole rest in peace and his family find solace in this time of loss.

I had the pleasure of taking one of Cole's UC Extension Workshops several years ago. Truly a treasure and a graceful human being. He will be missed. I add my condolences to his family.

I saw this over on Photo.net but was unable to confirm if it was true or not. This is very sad. RIP Cole.

Many years ago, on the occasion of my 1st annaversery (the paper one) I bought two Edward Weston photographs of the shell series. Cole was the printer in this case. BTW, I still have them. Rest in Peace.
