Oriental Seagull changed its formulation again recently. I don't like it as much. The drydown is really pronounced and I can't seem to get the inky blacks I used to get. But I still like it enough to continue using it.

Microwave ovens were still fairly expensive around 1980. You would probably only have one in your house, if you could afford it.
My family got one about then - it was as big a deal as a 25 inch color TV was.

my folks have a place by the beach, its a converted barn, but the microwave inside is from the early 80's, it needs its own breaker!!!
it also has a sticker on it, do not stand near when ON. go figure? what'll it do, fry my "boys"?
