Olympus XA4 images: John Agoncillo
See this link:

I was very impressed by the olympus XA4 images.
John does use other cameras and those images are on his blog as well.
But this just goes to show how even a zone-focus camera can produce wonderful images in the hands of a good artist.

I especially enjoyed "Sunday Morning Walk" on Baker Beach. That's where St. Ansel was born and raised, if I remember his autobiography correctly. It's also where he broke his nose during the Great Earthquake of 1906. I had always assumed that area was carpeted with condos by now.
Very engaging images. Wish my XA could make photos like those...

And for those who have not visited the gallery, the XA4 photos are not fuzzy. They are nice and sharp. Most have a limited plane of focus so it is apparent that he is actively using the scale focus.

Besides my Nikon F5, my greatest photos have been made with the XA. I love the qualities of the lens, and the camera as a whole.

Oh I just saw this. Thanks everyone for the kind words. My XA4 is one of my favorite cameras and I wouldn't want to be without it. Always in my pocket wherever I go.

what really cool is if you play the music on the shot of the street musician you can actually hear the photographer advancing the film on his XA.
-
Haha Eric I didn't even notice that when I first listened to it. Thanks for pointing it out.

Yeah in one of my photos I embedded a sound recording from the street musician. In the recording you can hear the XA4 shutter fire and my winding the film.
