    And for 2012 Girlfriend of the Year I nominate...

    ...mine, of course.

    Yesterday she went to a book sale at the local library and found for me a hardcover set of the Ansel Adams Photography Series. The Camera is highlighted in many places, but The Negative and The Print look to be in nearly perfect condition. She paid $6 for the set. A valued addition to my collection of photography books to be sure.

    By the way, I have softcover copies of The Negative and The Print that I will make someone a good deal on.

    Good morning, Dan Henderson;

    Yes, sir. Your nomination is justified, judging from your accompanying supportive text. You might keep her around for a while; I think she has merit. In fact, with such consideration for you and your idiosyncracies, to avoid competition from other guys with deep seated interests in photography, you might even entertain the thought of a ring.
    Enjoy;

    There is no digital effect or computer program or an "add-on" or "plug-in" for Adobe PhotoShop
    Creative Suite 5, that can simulate or equal watching the magic that happens in the developing
    tray when you can turn on the safe light, and see the image begin to faintly form on the print and
    come up on that paper in the developing tray.

    I thought you were going to say Felix Baumgartner's. Any chick who will support you breaking the sound barrier skydiving is seriously cool.
    I do use a digital device in my photographic pursuits when necessary.
    When someone rags on me for using film, I use a middle digit, upraised.
