    Photography Beyond Technique now available!

Hi all- thought I'd post a quick note that my book, Photography Beyond Technique: Essays from F295 on the Informed Use of Alternative and Historical Photographic Processes is now shipping from Amazon! This is a book about the why of the work not the how. This is not a process book, but rather an examination of how these artists use process as part of their image making vocabulary.

It includes an introductory essay by myself and 20 essays and plenty of images by 21 photographers including:

    Jo Babcock
    Craig Barber
    Stephen Berkman
    Laura Blacklow
    Dan Burkholder
    Martha Casanave
    Jill Enfield
    Dan Estabrook
    Jesseca Ferguson
    Alan Greene
    James Hajicek
    Robert Hirsch
    Robb Kendrick
    John Metoyer
    France Scully Osterman
    Mark Osterman
    Tom Persinger
    Carol Panaro-Smith
    Jerry Spagnoli
    Brian Taylor
    Keith Taylor

Congratulations! What a wonderful idea. The participants of your book make up a really talented and accomplished group of photographers too.
Bravo for making a book that approaches photography more with the finished print in mind.
