The Man Behind the Cameras
This is a fun story in the Boston Globe about a camera and photography collector. He's looking to sell his collection... so if you have $20 million on hand!
I've been checking under my couch cushions, can't remember where I put that extra cash!

Jack used to have folks over from time to time.... I just about passed out the first time I was there. Great guy.

catalog of sale
It would be pretty cool, just to see the catalog.

Great article. Thank you for showing it to us.

I was at Jack's house a couple of years ago where he hosted a meeting of the Photographic Historical Society. He has the whole house filled with stuff behind display cases like a museum. I heard that this was his second collection. He sold a larger collection a long time ago and then built this one up again. He also has a fine collection of Ambrotypes and Daguerreotypes.
I hope it will be sold to another museum so everyone can see it.

Suzanne, I get the Globe on Sunday and read that article too. I would love to see his collection in person.

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing, but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.
