    Ansel Does Vegas

    Yep, there are full billboards up in Vegas ANSEL ADAMS: AMERICA featured now at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art.....saw it tonight, really nice...50 prints....some I had not seen before including "Trailer Camp Children" which I had not seen, done when he worked for a while with Dorthea Lange....it was one of my favorites in the show...also a lot of personal letters and equipment and personal photos....also his kodak 8 x 10 metal camera with 250 6.8 Kodak lens....you could look thro the camera...

    a really nice show and has had nice attendance....if you are in town check it out...gallery is open from 9 am to 10 pm

    And if you go, you MUST try the buffet at the Bellagio. Amazing.

    This is a great show to see, there was a thread about this a month or two ago. you can find more info about the show at the bellagio's web site. I know that when I went they told us that some of the prints would change halfway through the run.

    Went to the exhibit. Tastefully done, with good lighting, and the tope wall color AA favored for his shows. Also a nice section on St. Ansel himself. If you get to Vegas, it is well worth the time and effort.

    It is a nice selection of work, at least two prints I had not seen before.

    Saw several people enjoy trying to see the image of the print under the dark cloth.
