APUG, understood but BWP magazine never claimed they would discriminate between purely analogue, digital and hybrid work did they? I happen to be a film user and the digital technique artices aren't of interest to me but I'll happily skip those for the other content, both how-to stuff and portfolios. Most times you cannot tell in the magazine reproduction whether the shot involved digital work or not (that's presumably why they have a little note on what DSLR was used - as if it mattered).
As for the readers gallery I'm guesing the analogue/digital published ratio probably reflects quite closely the submitted ratio.
