The Reader's Gallery must have been at least 90% digitally shot/printed of late.
This discussion is on APUG, understood but BWP magazine never claimed they would discriminate between purely analogue, digital and hybrid work did they? I happen to be a film user and the digital technique artices aren't of interest to me but I'll happily skip those for the other content, both how-to stuff and portfolios. Most times you cannot tell in the magazine reproduction whether the shot involved digital work or not (that's presumably why they have a little note on what DSLR was used - as if it mattered).
As for the readers gallery I'm guesing the analogue/digital published ratio probably reflects quite closely the submitted ratio.

I just have... sent last Friday. I'm hoping they'll get into the magazine. I think cyanotypes should freak out the public a little

I sent some prints about 6 weeks ago. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive the rejection?

I didn't submit prints, but I did submit my website probably a year or so ago, just as a lark. Imagine my surprise when I started getting e-mails from Europe complimenting me on my site. Turns out I am Website of the Month in the July issue. I had no idea when I started getting the e-mails, since we just recently got the July issue here in the states.
Pretty cool.

They published three photographs out of probably a dozen I sent. It was the December 2003 issue/#28. It was stuff I shot there while in London on a few visits between 1987 - 1990. Mostly street shots and some on the subway or 'Tube'. I sent 11x14s I printed on Oriental Seagull - very good reproduction. I had a few back and forth international phone conversations with the Features Editor, Tracy Hallett and her assistant leading up to and after publication. I didn't have access to email then. I remember them being very professional and enthusiastic in their work. I don't recall the time span between submission of prints and the phone call informing me they were going to publish a few. I think I was eventually paid something around $200 and the photos were returned intact.
