Default Anne Brigman? books...

hi.
I've recently "discovered" the pictorial photographer Anne Brigman, and I think I am in love....

however, I have tried to see what books there might be "out there", and that's a challenge.

on Amazon I saw a book called "Songs of a Pagan" (750$!!!) - and all I can see is the cover....

or "A poetic vision"..(120$)

Any of you know about her? do you have these books? recommended or not?

I'd love to have a book with her, but I am not a millionaire....

(yet)

There have been quite a few histories of photography and even histories of pictorialism published in the last decade that mention her at least once, but I haven't come across any books dedicated to just Anne Brigman other than the two you mention.

There's a more complete bibliography, including references to Camera Work articles that you can probably find online, here:

The Library of Congress has a high-res tiff of "Kodak" if you want to make your own wallpaper :-)

The Luminous Lint website is also generally useful for pictorialist info, but in this case doesn't offer much beyond a survey.

Probably your best bet is to see if the Santa Barbara Museum of Art has any copies of "A Poetic Vision" tucked away in the bookshop storeroom.

My book has 19.95 (USD) listed as the price. This is a paperback book. There are about 38 pages of text, about 40 images... I'd say it is worth the money I paid.
