Default The Long View - Vermont Center for Photography

"The Long View: Panoramic Photographs by Exhibiting Members" is featured through March 30.
The panoramic format, captured either in camera, through the use of image editing software, or as the product of sequential collage, creates a viewing vista from which we can widen our imaginations. It selects a slice, either vertical or horizontal, that focuses our attention on the whole, not a arbitrarily cropped version of sight. Exhibitors include Gene Butera, Bob Cantius, Kate Cleghorn, Jean Davis, Barry Dial, Jonathan Flaccus, Bob George, Peter Haas, Paul Miller, and Richard Ritter.

This show also celebrates the beginning of VCP's 10th year as a regional gallery. VCP is raffling off a 7x17-inch, ultra-large format panoramic camera donated by Richard Ritter -- some work taken with it is in this show.

Regular Gallery Hours: Thu. & Fri. 2-7 pm, Sat. & Sun. 12-5, and by appt.

A note on the raffle, there are still tickets available, the drawing is about 1 month away.
You could get a Richard Ritter 7x17 for $50.00. See www.vcphoto.org for details.

I have a Ritter 7x17 camera and woud encourage anyone who has even thought of ULF to purchase a chance. It's a great camera and a great cause you will be supporting.
