Bill Brandt in Albuquerque
The
Albuquerque Museum
currently has a show of bILL bRANDT's work.
It's a terrific show with a wide range of work including 155 prints.
If you are in NM or passing through, it's a great show to see.
And it is free on Sunday for NM residents.

Having seen a comprehensive exhibition of his prints not so long ago, I can say to see the real thing is truly inspiring stuff. Of course some people think he couldn't print, and advocates of the zone system may be disappointed, but if passion, commitment and poetry is what appeals to you, it's there in abundance.

It is inspiring work. Sure, they are not what zonies would call "perfect", but they are highly creative and the compositions are terrific.
There are a few photos in the show that still had pencil marks on them, showing where Bill "added" a little detail, here and there.

How about extremely disappointed!
And I am very disappointed I will not be able to make it, not being very close to NM. Saw the centenary show in London a few years back and this looks to be a very well organised and supported exhibition.
