what is a good publication? besides aperture and lenswork.

I always want to like Shots so much. It's published here in the Twin Cities, and really highly regarded. But I'll be damned if I can get a grip on what it is they like or why they like it. The xerox printing doesn't help much, either.

I do, however think I'll sign up for a year and hope it's a me problem instead of a them problem. The former I can fix.

One I'd add is Paris Vogue. Expensive as all hell, but holy buckets if you have any interest in fashion or ad work, that's where you can find the best. Vogue Italia is great, too. Much more diverse models in the Italian edition, and it's easier to find on the news stand.
