    Les McLean's B&W book

Last week I was at the Half-Price Books flagship store here in Dallas and noted that they had several copies of Les McLean's excellent "Creative Black and White Photography" The book is out of print, but these were "remainders" and so in new condition. $8!!

This morning, I noticed that the store out here in the burbs where I live also had a couple of copies, so as with many remaindered books, they may have distributed them to all (or many of) the stores. These stores are located all over Texas and several other states, so who knows?

Both stores had used copies of the original 2002 book for about $12.50 (half price, duh) but the remainders are the second, 2005 printing and cheaper.

    Just FYI, ladies and gents.

As I type I look about three feet to my right, noticing my own copy. 2002 Paperbound printing. Pages 64 and 104 have photographs made an hour from home (Ocean City Maryland). It is a very good book. If you can find a copy, regardless of price, it is a good read and definitely well worth acquiring for your library. No thanks necessary, Les.
    Thank you
