subscribing early causes glitch?

I knew my subscription was ending Jan 6, so I went through the link in my profile and did another year. I'm now showing as just a member and I'm seeing ads between posts.

I can't click on gallery posts, either. If I click on "my APUG", I also have it listed in my profile that my subscription is active from 1-3-2007 to 1-3-2008.
