    hanging out with RF folks

soon..in a few days or less, I will have my $30 yashica Lynx 1000. Yea, thats was probably $19.50 too much to pay But it should be fun if she works well. First rangefinder for me, since oh, about 1968 or 70.

Good for you! I am returning to rangefinders after a while, though not as long as yours. I took out the Yashica Electro 35 GSN, and I've added some more cameras to the list!

    Rf's are too much fun!

I rediscovered them a couple of years ago. Way faster than the "Is this as in focus as it can be" trouble I got with SLR's and older eyes.

You didn't get ripped....I just gave up $31 for a Fujica Half! It is pretty cool, though. "Am I EVER going to get to the end of this roll?"

    Gonna fix it yourself?

I mean more fixed than the Holga light proofing method

it's all good. got to learn "light proofing" anyway, as I seem to have a slowly but steadily growing array of old cameras.

RFs are great. After switching to them from SLRs I never went back.

I have a number of the RF wonders and I love them. I thought I'd like a Leica based on the experience and I really didn't so I sold it. The view finders dedicated to one leaf shuttered lens is simply bliss.

I have an old Yashica Minister-D which I really quite like using, but I hardly ever do so for some reason. I stick to the Leica Ms for day-to-day use, even tough I only ever use a 50mm on them. I must be nuts! Why don't I just sell the Leicas, take the money and buy a handfull of Ministers and a new car or two?

    Cheers, Paul.
