Buy her a Leica M7 and a couple of extra lenses

That's the best quality rangefinder camera still in production.

What's your budget for this? A Rollei Prego (used) is going to run less than $100. A new rangefinder with one lens will cost anywhere from $800 to $5,000.

I can't quite believe you haven't become aware of the very popular, currently manufactured and excellent value range of Voigtlander rangefinder film cameras. I have two of them (plus a couple of Leica IIIf's - but they're no longer made http://www.apug.org/forums/images/sm...on_biggrin.gif)

Most of the information you'll need is at CameraQuest (the USA distributor) but local availability and pricing can be found at Mainline Photographic in Sydney.
