Voigtlander 15mm Heliar...filters?

Hi all--
I have a Voigtlander 15mm lens and I want to use it, but I need filters! Is there any kind of adapter-type-thing made?

Not to my knowledge, assuming you are referring to the LTM version. You will need to improvise.

"Lifted" from Stephen Gandy's pages -"You can use filters, but only if they are much larger than the lens, such as gelatin filters and say, 72mm filters. Play a around with it, whatever works, works. You will have to tape it, or more likely, hold the filter in front of the lens during the exposure. Another option is using the 12's 77mm filter adapter. The 15's barrel is a bit smaller, wrapping some electricians tape around the lens barrel will allow you to mount the clamp on 12's 77mm filter ring."
Personally I've managed without using a filter with this lens and changed paper grade when printing (or fiddled with lighting and contrast if the neg has been scanned).

Cokin has a filterholder for P&S cameras, attached to the tripodmount. Expect serious vignetting anyway

This question has come up several times before on this and other forums. I have a 15mm LTM which I use on a Bessa L. I use a Cokin A300 adapter which mounts on the camera body's tripod thread and holds a Cokin A Series filter in front of the lens. I have had no issues with vignetting, but I have had some problems with flare which I believe was caused by light reflecting off the back (camera side) surface of the filter. My solution was to wear a hat with a brim which shades the entire camera, but not so big that it gets in the picture.

Isnt very filter friendly - one option would be getting a John Milich custom filter, on which you can screw in other filters. He uses a 39mm filter.

I've been told by Stephen Gandy, that the Milich filter only works with the
Leica m-8 due to the non-full frame nature of that camera & that it will
vignette on a film body or m-9.
