+1 here. Gerry did this very VF cleaning to my M4- and he is quicker than many.

Don Goldberg did a CLA on my M4-P afew years ago and upgraded the optics to MP. It is one optical part that cost $90 back then. Came back perfect.

To pull the top plate of a Leica M you need special tools. Don't try - send it to one of the pros listed.
