    Voigtlander in Bay Area?

Does anybody know where to buy voigtlander lenses in the Bay Area? I'm from Denmark, but I'm on a holiday in San Francisco.

I only brought my 35mm Summarit, and really needs the 40mm f/1.4 NOKTON for nightlife shots.

    Best regards
    Niels

Rayko Photo center is an official Voigtlander distributor.

They are located on third street, their address can easily be found on the website.

I thought the only AUTHORIZED Voigtlander distributers were:

Stephen Gandy in Los Angeles: http://www.cameraquest.com

And Photo Village in NY: http://photovillage.com/home.php

Most retailers (B&HPhoto included) with the exception of Stephen and Photo Village are probably out of stock of the Nokton.

    Thanks for the inputs.

I went to Rayko today. They had two Voigtlander lenses (no NOKTON). They said that nobody in the bayarea were buying them, so the were not taking any more home.

I guess that it's impossible to find any Voigtlanders here in SF. It's too bad that no shops in a city like SF is selling them .

I cannot help with the specific question. However, you can probably find a good, cheap camera like a Canon AE-1 Program with a 50mm 1.4 somewhere in S.F. for far less than you'd spend on that lens. Then you'd have an arguably better low light photography tool as well just by virtue of having an SLR.
