    rollei xf 35

bought a used one online that was to have a manual with but none came...I've contacted the seller but I'm not finding a lot online about this camera when searching...I know it's not the best quality cam but I've not had a RF before and wanted to play some. The viewfinder glass slides back and fourth in the area which seems not right to me and I have NO idea how to focus it or anything...eeek!
Any words of recommendation or slaps upside the head?

Rollei xf 35? I had a Rollei rf35 for a while. Is that a typo?

Mike Butkus has a scan of the original manual on his site. Here's the link:

He asks for a well-deserved donation of $3.

Here's my tale of the Rollei XF35.

Some more thoughts. As long as the camera is working correctly and the rangefinder is in alignment, I think it's a very capable camera. Because it's a German design (although made in Singapore), it doesn't have any foam seals.

It has a good lens -- a Sonnar. I've shot a few rolls with mine but keep misplacing the film, so I can't tell you how good the lens is.

It's a nice size -- not too big and not too small. Good luck with the camera.

he said it was a downloaded manual he forgot with it, and linked me to that same site....hmm...also, the loose view finder glass has me worried, he said it must have happened in shipping. I can't use it like that I don't think, I can't seem to make it do anything really but I'll mess with it and see what I can figure out.

I'll send you a note about the camera. Not right now -- busy with Super Bowl stuff.
