35mm summicron - what type is this

Does anybody know which type this lens is?

    serial: 2317xxx

    http://www.antiquecameras.net/ states that:

    35 Summicron F2 Type 1 - 1,631,xxx - 2,3xx,000
    35 Summicron F2 Type 2 - 2,3xx,000 - 2,461,000

I there a way to figure out if it is one or the other?

I haven't seen pictures of the lens yet, I just found it on sale.

    All the best
    Niels

There is a list of serial number series used for each lens on Camera Quest site or use google.

    What type? Leitz.
I do use a digital device in my photographic pursuits when necessary.
When someone rags on me for using film, I use a middle digit, upraised.
