Not sure if I have mentioned this somewhere before, but I bought a Skink pinhole for 5x4 off eBay a while back. (Useful to have around if your lens shutters are all out of action - mine are currently in Sydney.) Anyway, in case anyone has ever thought about these, I can say that they are pretty nicely made little items, and are supplied on a lens board ready to go. The pinhole plate itself can be removed and replaced with different size pinholes. Another money pit? Ian
G'day Ian, I've seen those and wondered what they were like, I've been wanting to do some 4x5 pinholes without building a pinhole camera (ie, like you said, to just have them as another option along with lenses would be ideal) but could never justify paying money for something I could easily make myself... but then... if I never get around to making one, what am I complaining about?! Would love to see some of your results with yours. Steve.
Sorry Steve - I will shortly get around to scanning and posting a couple of my pinhole negs from the Skink. I haven't used it much yet, but it is a neat little bit of kit. Ian
I'll look forward to it Ian. I'm in the same boat I think, meaning to scan a lot of work, but just not finding the time at the moment! Once I get a couple of jobs out of the way at the end of this week I should be able to find some quality time with the old (and I mean old)Epson...
I have not use them ( i use EMS laser pinhole) but by all account the skink PH is pretty good. Look forward to seeing the results
