Hi all, not much action here in the last few days. Is everybody liking the new APUG? I took a few snaps at the Geelong waterfront with the Wista on Saturday at sunrise. I'm pleased the exposures look way better than expected, but I have to get more careful at handling the sheet film. I'm getting a few little finger and thumb prints near the notches.
Hi Kevin, hi all
The new APUG looks pretty good - doesn't really seem hugely different, to be honest - although I am really not liking the penlines which now appear around all the gallery images.
Kevin, you'll soon become pretty proficient at handling the film by its edges so as not to leave any prints. Just a bit of practice required.
I am going up to Binna Burra (Lamington National Park) this weekend for a family get-together. I am very keen to take the 4x5, but fear that I won't really get a decent opportunity to use it... Might be a job for the 35mm
Im heading up to MtErica this weekend. Will try for some snow images. Pays not to frame your images to tightly that way you can leave a thumb print on the edge....
Well, I'm out in the lovely Barossa Valley at the moment, but haven't had the chance to get my camera out once yet. I'm about to head up to Moonta Bay to visit a friend, I'm hoping to spent the night down by the beach and catch some nice, pre-dawn light... IF I manage to get up in time, I'm absolutely stuffed at the moment!
I'm in the former stomping grounds of Graeme Hird, Kalgoorlie, but I don't have a camera with me. I never quite got around to shooting lightning here from Graeme's secret spot.
I was at Gary's (Poisson du Jour) place on Sunday, and we're looking at going to Wye River Falls (in the Otways) in about two or three weeks so I can shoot some of the 8x10 Velvia that Craig gave me. Hopefully it will be either overcast or drizzling. If anyone else wants to come along let me know. It will be fairly rough trekking.
Mike - Not sure but keep me in the loop.
Ditto, another stroll sounds neat
