Belmont Stakes

    I was wondering if anybody was considering attending. A guy at work is trying to talk me into it. The place is going to be packed. I think 85K people were there the last time the Triple Crown was a possibility. On a regular day Belmont Park is a nice place to shoot, if you like horses.

    Never been to a horse race before. How does it work? Do you just buy tickets and go in? or Do you need to put down a bet?

    You just buy tickets. Betting is optional.

    Just saw this post. I'd be up for trying it sometime. Never been to a horse race, but I'm always up for trying new stuff!

    It looks like Belmont shuts down for a month from July 15th to sometime in September.
