Geia sas from Cyprus
After many years with cameras I joined APUG.
I found out by reading posts that the members were friendly and helpful, quite unlike many forums actually where everyone is an "expert" or he thinks he is, especially when someone "new" is asking a simple question.
I really enjoy medium format (Bronica S, Mamiya RB67), 35mm (Canon EF, Leica R4s and Yashica Electro 35) and lately a DSLR Canon 5D MKII (bought Dec 2012) as I had no Digital camera at ALL.
I hope to share some of my experience here, as I am a camera repair technician specialized in Bronica and Mamiya.
From time to time I post some of my gear to classifieds :D
Thank you all and a Happy New Year.
This is probably the best place in the cyberspace to deal with photography.
Welcome to apug, a very nice place indeed if you are interested in silver based photography.
I hear that Cyprus is very nice (my girlfirend's father lives there) though I've never visited.
Hello and a warm welcome to APUG. I also have a RB67.
A Mamiya and Bronica repair specialist situated in Cyprus. I'm surprised.
If at all I'd rather expect a Leica expert. Well, I do not assume the New-Cypriots bring you Zorkis...
I guess I rather stop my clichè thinking... have to prepare my Sauerkraut now.
Thank you faustotesta, Jesper, Jeff, Sirius Glass, Chazzy, Agx and BradS for the warm welcome.
@Jesper, Indeed very nice place, although quite cold at the moment.
@Agx, I am from Greece although living in Cyprus for the last 12 years. Indeed the island is full of Soviet cameras, and yes they bring Zorkis, even the one's with the swastika on it ;), load's of Pentacon six, some Kiev's and a motherload of Zenit's.
Theo - hello and welcome to APUG! :D
