So - I got an offer to buy some special items for mu Gandolfi 5x4:
An old type back with 6 beautiful double cassettes for glass negatives...
A custom made roll film adapter for 6x9 + the roll film holder.
Apparently the roll film adapter is the only excisting one in the world - custom made.
All this made in Cuba mahogany....
It belonged with a camera - lenses, all made as a set. I would have preferred the whole thing collected as a whole, but given, that the seller had to sell off some of it, I decided to buy it...
I might be able to buy the camera from the original set at some later stage (So nice as a whole set), but time will tell..
Besutiful craftmanship!!!
Excellent Emil, and thanks for sharing.
I'm in the middle of testoring another two British filed cameras and that Roll film back dapter looks interesting, I'd not thoght of that approach. I have made adapters for RF backs and also modern 5x4 film holders in the past but that's more in keeping.

Sure is a goodlooking camera!

Beautiful camera. When I read the title of the thread, I thought it was a new way to time pinhole photo exposures, like 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi....
...couldn't have gone to a more perfect home. :)
Octet...
I just inherited a nice "modern" Gandolfi Variant 4x5 with a really nice Rodenstock Jmagon with all the stuff today.
I have never been looking out for a Variant, but it is a nice addition to my flock..

It's a terrible obsession Emil. I suggest acupuncture, I'm very handy with a hammer and nails :D
I've accidentally gone down the Houghton route , and have about the same number - however there's far more options :) Field cameras, SLRs, Rangefinder . . . .
