It occurred to me earlier tonight that I should post something here regarding the LF directory I maintain. While there is crossover between APUG and the lfphoto.info community, I get the feeling it's not total crossover.
The LF User's Directory is just that - a directory of people all over the world shooting and loving large format. It's organized both by location and alphabetically. It can be found at the URL below, where you can also find info about how to get listed. Essentially, if you want to be on the directory, drop me an email (or PM on APUG) with relevant info about contact info, a little background information, and maybe some of the other things listed under guidelines.
Anyhow, I just do this because I think it's useful at times to be able to look up people in the LF community. That's about it - always welcoming new people to the directory. Long live sheet film!
Dave has been keeping this list for a long time, and if you are traveling it is a good way to meet some of the people you see on the forums, and maybe bum a beer or two..:-)
If you are not on the list, I would encourage you to join, the more the merrier they say...
Dave when the new site is up, remind me and I'll put a link header to your list in the large format forum (can't do this with the current software)
I've added 2 more LF users to the list, making for a total of something like 123 photographers in 17 countries. We certainly are a diverse group! While it may take me a few days to get the listing up, it is pretty easy for me to update the list, so please don't be shy! With every added photographer, it becomes more valuable a resource.
And as an added note, if anyone has any ideas for how the list could be better organized or implemented (say, using PHP), please feel free to let me know.
View Camera magazine also has a list of large format groups around the US. It is published every issue
