the 120 back could all stand a clean up and maintanence. I
live in the Northwest and the closer to home I find a good shop

just a thought, can you or have you tried to take the batteries out of this camera and then see if the mirror will drop down?

The RBs and RZs have a mirror lock-up mode. That mode isQuote:

Try this guy in WA. Mike is a real nice guy and a great repairmen. I f you call him he may be able to diagnose it on the phone with you to see if it's user error or a real problem.
