Now the digital camera that jumped into the tide pool - complete toast!
I have decided to part ways with the 500CM. http://www.apug.org/forums/forum379/...ml#post1078415
"Near Mint, very few signs of use" is what I was thinking!Quote:
Then put the following in the eBay listing: "I do not know much about these things, but it worked the last time I used it.", "rare" and "hard to find in this condition."
PADI Certified 500CM.... its funny but it hurts.Quote:
...and a diving lesson?
Sorry for your loss!:(
My repair guy always tells me that if something gets wet to keep it that way until you can get it to him. That way you're not drying everything out, increasing the possibility of rust and corrosion. I'd guess that the camera can be repaired but the expense is going to hurt.
The expense will be far too great.
The entire thing has to be disassembled completely, everything cleaned, and than the entire thing has to be rebuild again (including relubing where appropriate, and adjusting the whole shebang).
Something for a DIY project. Just for fun. But if you have to pay for it... Yikes!
