Fun new set of lenses! If all one does is street photography, not requiring fast lenses, these will help people save a few dollars / Euros.
The new 75mm is probably a gem in disguise. So small. No one would suspect it's a short telephoto. I have a 75mm f/1.4. Love the focal length. Leica wasn't making their 75mm f/2.0 when I got the 1.4. The 1.4 is a bit of a boat anchor. Anyone interested in this focal length should look seriously at the new Summarit f/2.5.
The 75/2 is utterly gorgeous, so much so that I bought my test sample (reviewed in Shutterbug) from Leica. I've borrowed a 75/1.4 but as you say it's BIG.
The perfect combo for me is 35/1.4 on one body and 75/2 on another.
Help! The Dutch forum is hi-jacked :p
Alas, no. When I was still at university my father was seconded to the Royal Dutch Navy, and he, my mother and I started to learn the language; I don't recall if my brother did or not. Then she was taken ill -- it was to prove fatal within the year (cancer) -- and he was posted in the UK instead, because his mother was still alive and helped him look after her. I can just about read basic Dutch, if the wind be southerly, but I had to go to my Dutch dictionary even for such a simple phrase. And damn, aren't Dutch-English/English-Dutch dictionaries expensive!
But yours is a country for which I have a very soft spot.
Cheers,
Roger
Dus, de volgende keer als ik in deze streken een Land Rover zou zien rondrijden, er zijn niet zo veel, zal ik uitkijken voor iemand met een lange, witte baard…
Sometimes you have to wait.....
