Aggie, would be interested to know how you find the quality of the results, particularly any mediun format negatives that you scan. What did you buy ?
will be fine for web use.. my 1640 goes ok
Great!!! I will be looking forward to your posts.
After buying an old Agfa Duoscan T1200 for $20 that turned out to work great for prints, but seems dead for transparencies, I got a tested and working Duoscan (slightly better model) for $100, so I should be able to post more LF work soon, both here and on my website. It can scan up to 8x10".
Ahhh...Aggie slowly slips to The Dark Side...
Seriously, I can't wait to see your work posted. I love the postcards.
What is a "firewire thingy"? Is that the same as a transparency hood?
Hope to see some of your images soon, Aggie.
Firewire is just a means of transfering data from the scanner to the computer. It's like USB and Paralell, but it transfers faster.Quote:

I bought an Agfa Duoscan T1200 back when they were new... Nice to see that someone else is finding a use for them! I really love the sheet film adapters - but why couldn't they make them for 9x12cm and 5x7" as well???
