I'm on my way to Auckland tomorrow to shoot some 5x12's late afternoon and Sunday morning. If anyone wants to meet up give me a shout, I'll be shooting around the city. I may bring along a Roundshot as well.

You are just a week too late ... we had a great outing last Sunday north of Auckland, on the coast near Warkworth. Great spot. John can tell you how to get there if you are interested.
I wish! I'd just like to try out some 5x12 film! AAARRRGGGHHH!!! :D
Hi Clayton, would like to meet up but this is going to be a hectic weekend for me so I don't think I could make it :(
John McCallum might be interested he's a bit closer than I am..
No problem guys.........this came up out of the blue......I bought some darkroom gear in Hamilton and since I'm travelling that far I thought I may as well go to Auckland and do some shooting. I have 2 panoramas to do that I've shot previously but with different equipment. This time with bigger film and a selection of lenses I should nail it.......well hopefully!

PS.....Diane I'll send you a neg from this trip!
Got back from Auckland late last night......had to watch the rugby at 5am so it was a long day.
How come it rains every time I go to Auckland?
I was lucky to get some breaks in the weather and got the 2 shots I wanted. Shot quite a few sheets of 5x12 and I set one film holder up to take 12" x 70mm strips which worked great.
This afternoon I'll start processing the film, first chance to try out my new 3004 expert drum.

please post some links to the results :)
ah well - too late ... :(
gotta start checking this regional forum more often -
Hey Sean - I've still got your disks - they are on the shore but I can get them on Sunday and maybe drop them off over next week - I'm working mostly evenings so whenever is good
:D
Finally got around to scanning the negs.........you Auckland guys will know these shots well and probably shot them before. My angle on it is trying to get as much detail on the neg as I can then printing metre long panoramas.Quote:

Lens is a 210 W Fuji.
Sorry about the picture orientation, this is a common problem with displaying panoramas on the web. You'll see from the section enlargement there is reasonable detail, the building sign is 4 kms from the camera.

Nice stuff.... Where did you shoot these from? It looks like a great view of the city.Quote:
