shift and focus are different things. for your fixed focus camera you need closeup-filters. we even made a lens-shade-filter out of a uv-filter. just use a black tape with a slit in it. without this useful tool shooting against the sun or lights could lead to reflexions/ghost-lights even worse than in normal cameras.
such closeup-filter are even available for 135-cameras-from noblex canada.

seitz has multiple different pancams. which one drove you nuts? the toy 35/35 camera? for the larger ones you will need patience, otherwise: no good results. they are no P+Ss.
