Artist's Statement: I create one-of-a-kind and small edition books in order to hold a sequence of photos in place, sometimes to create narratives and always to ensure that one picture affects the reading of the next. I find the rag printmaking papers used to make alternative prints especially attractive for binding. I also teach classes in books and historic processes and am the author of "New Dimensions in Photo Processes", now in its 4th edition. In addition, for over 20 years, I have been volunteering in Central America, where all this work comes from. |
