    Sorry if this remark sounds ridiculous, but I don't know if you are a novice in analog photography or not:

    - Are you absolutely sure the gap of 1 cm is not actually the space where the detachable/insertable negative carrier should be inserted, because the 1 cm gap is precisely what I would expect for the insertion space of the real negative carrier.

    The negative carrier is a separate item, it is not the metal fixed bottom "plate" with a large hole in it below which the bellows and enlarger lens unit is fixed.

    Weet je zeker dat je wel een negatief houder hebt?

    De negatief houder zou er ongeveer zo uit moeten zien, hier met zo te zien een "mask" voor 6x6 MF film in de houder, en de andere masks er naast. Deze negatief houder, met de filmstrook ertussen geklemd, schuif je vervolgens in die 1 cm spleet die jij ziet om hem te vergroten en af te drukken.

    Omdat het om een los item gaat, is de kans best groot dat bij koop van een 2e hands vergroter, de negatiefhouder mist of wordt vergeten mee te geven...
