Might work. Try building up the inside of the shutter a little with, e.g., darkroom tape and screw the lens into it. You may want to put a spacer, i.e., 2 mm washer, behind the flange to ensure that back of the barrel doesn't hit the shutter blades.

Yes, I've used Polaroid MP-4 (so marked) Copal #1 Press shutters for front mounting. Their top speed (1/125) can be a little limiting, a cock-and-shoot #1 would be a better but more expensive choice. Go read my lens diary.
