hi ron

i wasn't suggesting it was a average household darkroom item.
if someone is making their own emulsions they are already using
things that are not found in an average household darkroom
ether fumes is why i suggested a well ventilated area,
and the flammable nature of collodion is why i suggested
it to be not close to heat ( cleveland clinic fire ) ...

i have maybe a litre of water glass, one of these days i will put dye in it to see if it takes it
and then see how it washes out .. probably the wash-out will be the problem ... and contaminate the emulsion ...
unless it is coated on a sheet of plastic and just placed between the plate or film and the plate / film holder ...
