I've used/owned a Gandolfi Traditional and found that I had no problems with movements using a 9 1/2" lens. Because the Traditional employs a sliding lensboard what you can't coax out of the bellows you get easily make up the difference by using the sliding lensboard. On the long end a 24" lens was no problem either. Again because of the Traditional's front standard design you can get an extra couple of inches by extending the standard past the front focus rail. All in all a great camera - it's unfortunate they've recently had a price increase.
Good luck!
Cheers,
Roger...
