Fujifilm Student Awards
The 2006 Fujifilm Student Awards is accepting submissions via the
website, www.fujifilmstudentawards.co.uk - this year's Awards has the
subtitle, 'The Best of British', and students are instructed to submit
images that best sum up cultural Britain.
The competition, which is the longest running and most prestigious
student photography award in UK, will see the winner collect a first
prize of 1,000 and the title of Fujifilm Student Photographer of the
Year.
Each Merit winner will receive 50 worth of Fujifilm Professional film
and will be asked to submit a print for final judging. The college that
submits the most entries will receive a Fujifilm Professional
counter-top refrigerator containing 500 worth of Fujifilm Professional
film.
All images must be taken on Fujifilm Professional film. The images are
then scanned and submitted online as in previous years.
The closing date for entries is 1 April 2006. Entry is open to all
students undertaking full or part-time professional photographic
training, or full or part-time graphic design training of which
photography is a major part at a UK based college or university.
