There's some technically excellent photographers around, producing work that I'd be very happy to have done myself, even have on my wall (given deep pockets). But there's something that lifts the work of say Bruce Barnbaum or [color=black]perhaps Per Volquartz above many others in my opinion, and I haven't quite been able to conclude yet what it is.[/color]

Perhaps it is as JDC suggests, that it will stand apart from current culture and withstand the tests of time. I know they sing on a different level - but how, what is it? I'd be very keen to hear some more theories from those with better Arts Education than me.
